What to Expect

Before your appointment you will be sent a welcome email. This email contains directions to your chosen office location, a video about the audiologist you will meet, and some information for you to fill out for the audiologist to review. When you arrive at your appointment you will be warmly greeted by one of our patient care coordinators.

When it is time for you to see the Audiologist, they will sit down with you and review your information. They may ask you some questions regarding your health and history as well as what you and your family are experiencing with your hearing.

Then the Audiologist will take you through a series of tests designed to get to the root of your hearing concerns so they can partner with you to form a customized treatment plan. Our audiologists always follow Best Practice guidelines and will provide you with a thorough and comprehensive hearing assessment that includes: otoscopy, tympanometry, immittance testing, audiometry, and speech perception.

After the evaluation is complete, your Audiologist will sit down with you and your loved one to discuss the results and help you move forward with the best solutions for your hearing needs.

Bottomline: HearCare Audiology Center in Sarasota, FL provides the best service of ANY health care organization that I have EVER encountered. Here is my story: My ears had become increasingly painful for a period of over a month. In addition, my hearing had become so poor that I was getting really worried. How could I function in life if my hearing kept deteriorating? How could I continue to perform my job? In a panic, I drove to HearCare Audiology Center on a Friday afternoon. I had no reservation for an appointment, but I felt desperate to get professional help. I explained my situation to the compassionate staff. Dr. Jeffrey Olson was on his way out and overheard my story. He put aside his immediate weekend plans to help me, a suffering and worried patient. Dr. Olson professionally and correctly diagnosed my problem as severe wax build up over a period of several years in both ears. Dr. Olson used a high tech water machine to painlessly and quickly clear all of impacted wax out of my ears. Dr. Olson is a true professional who has mastered the audiology profession. Now that my ears have been totally cleared out, my hearing has never been better. I feel like I have my old life back again !!! THANK YOU DR.
